About the Role:

Regional pubs and hotels are seeking experienced Venue/Duty Managers to oversee daily operations, lead front-of-house and bar teams, and ensure an outstanding guest experience across dining, bar and accommodation services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day venue operations across bar, dining, gaming and (where applicable) accommodation areas.

• Lead, roster and supervise front-of-house, bar and service staff during shifts.

• Ensure full compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), liquor licensing and WHS requirements.

• Maintain high standards of customer service, presentation and venue cleanliness.

• Manage cash handling, point-of-sale operations and end-of-shift reconciliation.

• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of venue staff.

• Assist the Venue Manager/owners with stock control, ordering and cost management.

• Help coordinate functions, promotions and special events.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Current RSA & RCG (Responsible Service of Alcohol & Responsible Conduct of Gambling) certification.

• Proven experience as a Duty Manager, Venue Manager or similar leadership role in a pub, hotel or licensed venue.

• Strong leadership and team-supervision skills.

• Sound understanding of liquor licensing obligations and WHS requirements.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to manage a venue confidently and independently during rostered shifts.

• Availability for a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
