About the Opportunity:
Global Skills Connect is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef for an established dessert and pastry business located in Regional New South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pastry professional who enjoys working with quality ingredients, producing high-standard desserts and pastries, and contributing to a growing food business.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate to Regional NSW as soon as possible.
For the right qualified, experienced and competent candidate, employer sponsorship may be available, subject to eligibility, skills, experience, business requirements and applicable Australian visa requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce a range of high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts and sweet products.
Maintain consistent standards of taste, texture, quality and presentation.
Assist with the development of new pastry and dessert products.
Execute recipes and production requirements accurately and efficiently.
Apply professional pastry techniques across baking, finishing, decoration and presentation.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Ensure pastry production areas and equipment are maintained in a clean, organised and safe condition.
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and production team.
Manage production schedules and prioritise tasks effectively to meet daily requirements.
Contribute ideas for new products and seasonal offerings.
Maintain consistency across all products while working within established production standards.
Follow workplace health, safety and food safety procedures at all times.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable pastry professional who can demonstrate:
Minimum 1-3 years' relevant experience in a professional pastry, bakery, dessert or commercial kitchen environment.
Relevant formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery, Patisserie or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Strong skills in pastry production, baking, cake preparation, finishing and decoration.
Excellent attention to detail and presentation.
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices; HACCP knowledge is desirable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Professional attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
Good communication skills.
Relocation Requirement:
This position is located in Regional NSW. Applicants must be genuinely willing and able to relocate and commence employment as soon as reasonably possible.
Candidates should consider their relocation, accommodation and transport arrangements before applying.
Sponsorship:
Sponsorship may be available for a suitably qualified and competent candidate, subject to the candidate meeting the relevant eligibility requirements and the employer's sponsorship and workforce requirements.
