About the Role:

A Spanish/Mediterranean dining venue in Parramatta, NSW is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook with genuine expertise in Spanish cuisine to join its kitchen team. The role suits someone who takes pride in authentic flavours, traditional techniques and consistent, high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook authentic Spanish dishes, including tapas, paella and traditional seafood and meat-based specialties.

• Maintain consistency in flavour, presentation and portion control across the menu.

• Assist with menu planning, seasonal specials and ingredient sourcing suited to Spanish cuisine.

• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food wastage.

• Work efficiently during busy service periods, coordinating with the wider kitchen team.

• Support training of junior kitchen staff where required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience cooking Spanish or Mediterranean cuisine in a commercial kitchen.

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent experience.

• Sound knowledge of traditional Spanish cooking techniques (e.g. paella, tapas, seafood preparation).

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, service-driven kitchen.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
