We looking for applications from experienced (minimum 1-3 years of full-time work experience) and passionate Commis chefs to join our kitchen team. A highly relevant qualification is also required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years full-time, post-qualification work experience as a Chef

  • Relevant commercial cookery qualification (Certificate IV or higher)

  • Proven experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen

  • Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts as required

  • Commitment to a long-term, full-time position

The ideal candidate/s will also have the following:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen team with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Commitment to an ongoing role and contributing to a great team culture.

  • Genuine passion for creative, fresh food with ambition to learn new techniques and culinary styles.

  • Strong recipe knowledge across the full restaurant menu.

  • Dedication to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness.

  • Skills to prepare, cook, and season dishes efficiently and consistently according to menu guidelines.

  • Strict adherence to food safety standards and occupational health & safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both within the team and with management.

  • Understanding and implementation of the HACCP Code of Practice.

  • Solid knowledge of produce, stock rotation, stock control, and kitchen equipment.

  • Ability to train, guide, and mentor junior kitchen staff when required.

  • A commitment to excellence and ability to lead by example in the kitchen.
